ECALA and Diane Thursby are excited to introduce ECALA’s Collective Kitchen Handbook and share with you how Collective Kitchens are offered within the Edmonton region. We will be looking at the various topics that are covered in our Handbook. ECALA will share the resource after the session with those who attended.
Learning objectives for this session are:
• What is a Community/Collective Kitchen?
• Operations and setting up a program
• Literacy activities you can easily incorporate within a kitchen or even in other programs you offer for foundational learners
• Strategies to design and incorporate literacy and skill-building activities
