Rural Routes is offering a five-hour, five-week study group that gives an overview of the Canadian Language Benchmarks for the purposes of determining learner proficiency, planning instruction, and assessing learning. Hands-on practice and activities make this series a useful foundation for using the Benchmarks in your own practice. We recommend participants come to each session.

There are four topics and a review session in the study group:

  1. March 2, Increase familiarity with CLBs
  2. March 9, Using CLBs to plan instruction
  3. March 16, Using CLB to plan assessment
  4. March 23, Increase understanding of CLB proficiency levels
  5. March 30,  Review and question time

Please note that Google Chrome is the preferred web browser to use when accessing the Rural Routes session via Blackboard.
