Moccasin Making (Kistehitah Kimeskanām)

Kistehitah kimeskanām (honour your journey/road) is a project arising from the identification of unmarked graves at former residential school sites across Turtle Island. It honours the children sent to the schools and the little ones arriving today. Participants gather with elders and knowledge keepers to learn the skills to make moccasins, moss bags or star blankets to gift to new babies.
