Creative Writing

A collaborative group based class focused on improving reading and writing skills, expanding vocabulary, developing creative thinking, increasing the ability to analyze text and exploring self-expression through a variety of instructor-led creative writing literacy activities. All learning resources are carefully selected by both the Instructor and adults to ensure maximum interest and relevance.  Classes are often instructed by leading-edge authors and poets in the Edmonton community who have a deep desire to share their passions with marginalized adult citizens. Oftentimes the classroom instructional environment builds on the students’ prior knowledge and experiences and is oriented towards their personal creative writing goals.
